After a career in the City and management consulting with Kleinwort Benson, and Booz Allen Hamilton, Andrew worked as a serial entrepreneur (with mixed results!) during the 1990s. He now manages a £150m early stage venture capital programme in the North East of England and serves as vice-Chair of Council at Durham University, as a Trustee of Reach to Teach (an educational charity working in India), and as Chair of the North East Social Investment Company. He is an occasional investor in, and Board member of, early stage software and IT businesses. An Aston Villa season ticket holder (for his sins), Andrew also loves cricket, hacks around golf courses and is always promising to learn the piano. He has three children.
