To achieve certification by the Information Standard Scheme, we had to show that our information is accurate, impartial, balanced, evidence-based, accessible and well-written.

The Scheme covers health care information we produce for:

  • Men with prostate cancer, their friends, families and carers
  • Men at risk of developing prostate cancer, their friends, families and carers

Our reviewers

All of our information is reviewed by our Support and Information Specialist Nurses, medical specialists and people affected by prostate cancer.

Members of the Prostate Cancer Voices network help us make sure that our information answers all the important questions and is easy to understand.

Our Clinical Expert Reviewers are external health professionals with particular expertise or interest in prostate cancer, for example, clinicians, specialist nurses, dietitians and physiotherapists. They check our information for clinical accuracy and provide expert opinion on prostate cancer related issues.

We also have a Health Professional Advisory Group who contribute their knowledge and expertise to help develop the Charity's information and health professional education services.
